Our Services




Our department provides emergency services including fire suppression, emergency medical response, hazardous materials mitigation and special rescues. Our Non-Emergency activities include public education, CERT, station tours, pre-fire planning, as well as annual fire inspections of commerical buildings and fire safety checks of the residences in the city.

Uintah Fire Department Suppression Services



The supression services provided by the UFD exist to save lives and property and protect the environment, by providing services, which will reduce the risk or losses, incurred by fire, medical emergencies, hazardous material incidents and natural disasters.
 

Uintah Fire Department Training



 
The Uintah Fire Department maintains a professional level of operational readiness through extensive ongoing training. From the day new candidates enter the department until the day they retire, firefighters are required to meet high state and local standards.

Examples of training include: live fire training, forcible entry, ventilation, firefighter survival / rapid intervention crew (RIC), hazardous materials, emergency medical response, fire tactics (including high-rise buildings), rescue systems, auto extrication, equipment proficiency, and emergency vehicle operation.
 

Uintah Fire Department Administration


This area of the department is focused on planning for and leading, managing and supporting Department Personnel and programs in the accomplishment of the Department's mission.

This section is also responsible to the city for the development and updating of plans for fire protection, emergency medical response, hazardous materials protection, and emergency preparedness.
